Deep ruby.  Pork-belly, purple iris and blueberry compote on the nose and the palate is polychromatic like Gorecki.  Ampy fruit power with a maple twist; from a mostly clay site whose water retentiveness would have saved it in this ‘irrigate or die’ vintage.  A big wine by any measure in any year and broader still in ’03.  Your hand in mine stills the thunder; hold my hand while I taste it again.  Now – 2020+.
