Ruby core, fade to amber.  This shows the creamy texture and lavish padding of ’90.  Usually the sun never shines on Nuits.  The wines come off metaphorically dark: mother rock tends to dominate the fruit / terroir equation.  Not so ’90, where fruit flesh wins outright, complicated by notes of oyster liquor and the peel of a blood orange.  Expansive, daisy girl finish.  Now.
