Imperial ruby.  The nose is an invitation, a little white envelope of cherry tobacco smokiness.  From the ashes grows a sweet liberty full of duck, hoisin and crispy skin.  Just a slim edge of ’95 tannin and there’s a savor at the end, a fondue of salsify and pink peppercorn.  Now – 2020+.
