Magenta.  Buckwheat and upholstery webbing and the palate is enormously black fruited, as if these ungrafted vines could produce the effect of a bursting cherry tomato in the mouth.  The poverty of these shallow subsoils give the wine its grippy mineral streak.  Now – 2020.
