Moët & Chandon, Brut Cuvée Dom Pérignon Epernay 2002

Dom Perignon 2002

Fifteen years on.

Yellow-gold.  Tree resin, graphite and chalky orchid on her main and beneath her timbers just a hint of the truffle-woodsyness to come.  Sappy and ironclad, intense like a coke furnace, with so much material there’s an element of reductive immolation at work here.  Steel and pink peppercorn weds the keel of a martial finish.  Now – 2032+.
