Five years on (Aubry’s non-vintage rosé comes entirely from a single year).
Orange-pink. Sloe and fennel with an invigorating tartness. For all its brightness the texture of the wine is almost custardy. A beguiling Rosé, rich with tension and counterpoint. The finish is studiously dry. Now – 2023+.
A blended Rosé composed of 60% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir, 20% Meunier (15% still wine) from a parcel called Les Noues, in Jouy-lès-Reims. All 2013 vintage. Dosage: 3 g/l. Disgorged January 2016.
