Ruby.  Seductive yet uncompromising: blackberry, licorice, grilled almond and an earthy minerality, almost chocolatey.  Texturally lavish, still a slim edge of tannin and the finish is quite suave.  We are generally cool towards toasted barrique on Syrah but this was satisfying.  Now – 2024.
