Votto Vines Importing, Hamden CT.

78% PN, 16% Chardonnay and 6% Meunier from grand cru and premier cru vineyards in the Montagne de Reims (Ecueil (mostly), Villers Allerand and Bouzy).  Certified as HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale).  Base vintage plus 51% reserve wines, 40% of which is barrel aged.  Dosage: 6 g/l.  Aged in bottle: at least two years.  Disgorged January 2018.

Yellow-gold.  Stiff and young and virile with a salty rigor.  Some essential Noir fragrance and flavors but this wine is more about energy, drive and a seamless length.  The terroir signature is exacting and flinty.  Now – 2024+.
