Veuve Clicquot, Ponsardin Brut Rosé Reserve Reims 2004

Veuve Clicquot Rose 2004

71% Pinot Noir (14% still Bouzy PN added); 20% Chardonnay; 9% Pinot Meunier from the Cote des Blancs, Montagne de Reims and Bouzy.  Blend of grand cru and premier cru vineyards.

Fifteen years on.

Peach pink.  Like an old friend, fluid and spicy.  A panna-cotta of vanilla flowers and white chocolate with cress and white pepper impingement.  The fruit runs to rusty tangerine.  The finish is lighted by the silence of strings.  Now.
