100% Chardonnay from estate vineyards in Vertus (60%, 1er cru, raised in steel) and Mesnil (40%, grand cru, raised in wood). No malo. Disgorged after aging on the lees for five years. Dosage: 3 g/l.
Yellow-gold. Hyper-animated for an oxidative style, with a fascinating tilt towards tonic dryness. Charred woodruff, papery nut and Normandy cider-like pear fruit with a deliberate, in-the-moment absorption. The snow-globe finish sleights neither chalk, salt or mineral. Now – 2025+.
