Yellow-gold. The big fruit and implacable mineral sides to this wine needed some years to come to terms with one another but the whole turned out bigger than the sum of them both. It has a richer, more oily aspect than the ’04 and the palate is the full on grand cru, a sensory experience with creamy textural tones and saline dimension. Its power never steps out of order. The finish combines that persistence and rootsy nature with mobility and poise. Now – 2025+.
