Emerald. The mineral glint of Sainte-Gemme lies at the heart of the bouquet. There is a gunflint grapiness, chalkdust, a woodruff-like charred-leaf, muskmelon. The palate is invigorating with a crackly front to the fruit, and offers verve, movement, and much declaration of white peach. The finish is more overtly mineral than its more southern neighbors.
