Éric et Jöel Durand, Cornas 2001

February 2022

Garnet. Delivers a smoky profusion with the vintage’s coolness hovering above. The palate starts on quarry dust and has a saline, upright run. It merges wild plum and rose hip with peat and granite, and a rich red meatiness reduced in pigeon stock. Iodine and wisteria at the end. Now.

January 2014

Ruby. The mousse from a dark flavorsome bird and the smell of a horse from between the ears in a resplendent C-major chord of Syrah. Scarlet and plum with Cornas’ personality and confidence at the end. Now – 2020+.
