Domaine Coste-Caumartin, Pommard Le Clos des Boucherottes 1er Cru (monopole) 1990

Fox red. The nose is a ballet, and a good one. Mineral explicit with details of musky flowers, chest of drawers, pomegranate, dotted in vadouvan spice. The palate is giving all the way through. Its blandishments extend on waves of beneficent red fruits, with sleek lines allied to a firm underlay. The finish is positive with a dry tone, a residue of its once noticable tannins. Now – 2030.
