Domaine Jacques Cacheux et Fils, Echézeaux Grand Cru 2002

Twenty years on.

Star bright ruby. It’s a bouquet with sparkle, where the vertical associations run to chinese 5-spice, cacao, red plum, and pressed flower. The palate is rushing, glacé, has verve and intensity. It declares for raspberry velvet with a fine slipstream of tannin. The length is correct; the finish, saline. Now – 2030.
