Domaine Dujac, Puligny-Montrachet Les Combettes 1er Cru 2014

Full tulip yellow. The bouquet has a fine and cool lemon-nectarine tone, a tonal white florality, a smoky coil from the oak. The palate has a millerande fleshiness, a beguiling texture, gives a stream of engaging white and yellow fruits with a citrus tang. Discreet salting helps its movement through the second half and it ends on an orange peel-bergamot note of site clarity.

From a .62ha parcel comprised of 50 to 80 year old vines, usually with lots of ‘shot’ berries (millerandes). Small bunches, low yields. Fermentation with a predominance of whole clusters. Grapes are lightly crushed and fermented in cask, of which 20% is new wood, where it will stay for 16 months, with an additional six months in tank.
