Domaine Truchot-Martin, Clos de la Roche Grand Cru 1990

Thirty five years on.

Fox red. Light, almost translucent in color, yet immediately expressive, the nose unfolds in layers, wild forest floor, white truffle, and game interwoven with fresh red fruits, sour cherry, raspberry, red candy and a delicate thread of exotic spice. The aromatics seem tireless, remaining vivid and compelling even hours after opening. On the palate, the wine is silken and supple, a true purity fest, delivering a concentrated but weightless core of earthy, savory flavors alongside bright, fresh red fruit. The finish is long, graceful and resonant, tapering into subtle floral notes of peony and spice. A vin d’emotion, a great ’90. Now – 2035+.
