Greenish-gold. Complex, refined, crystalline nose with a mild (compartively for J.J. Prüm), egg-y reductive streak. Some CO2 to keep things light. Yellow peach, cox’s orange pippins, distilled almond, linden flower, blue slate. An elegant ripple of verdant succulence and mintiness as it develops: balsam, wintergreen, melisse. Focused minerality and an etched citrus rind acidity; this has aged beautifully and will continue to improve. Solicitous floral-slate finish; an elegant, of-the-drier-side expression of Mosel. Very pure, quite cool fruit with impressive class. A thrilling Spätlese, one of character and dimension. Now – 2020+.
