Candy apple red. Viscerally extrovert, the fruit has implacable mass, thick and metallic like blood. He bleeds forcefully, a gelatinous grenadine and confiture concentration, precocious in his evocations of underbrush, veal stock and pencil lead. Then a beguiling savory length, dry, sweetly herbal, appetizing. Best in his youth.
