Billecart-Salmon, Brut Réserve Mareuil-sur-Aÿ

40% PN, 30% Meunier and 30% Chardonnay from the Vallée de la Marne.  2012 base vintage plus 40% reserve wines.  Aged three years on the lees.  Dosage: 7 g/l.

Yellow-gold.   Lots of curves to this, gushing and lavish and buttery.  Toasted brioche and sautéed peach but what really makes this fly is an intriguing vein of mineral.  Now – 2022.
