Domaine Jean-Marc Pillot, Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot ‘Les Fairendes’ 1er Cru 2011

Tulip yellow. Some reduction. The nose is well-founded, shows depth and provocation. Spicy white florals, opal basil, puff pastry, and bergamot in a winsome ensemble. Has nutty late airs, and grip. The palate is on the go with stone fruits, citrus zest piquancy, and a peach stone minerality. Lovely exit, with a steel freshness and firm Chassagne character. Last bottle on a case. Now – 2030.
