From a micro-cru called Eiserberg, a separate hillside from the rest of the Lenchen vineyard. This is AP 14 05.

Twenty years on.
Yellow gold. On the nose this puts tree and citrus fruit at its center, a plum paste density, backed by a smoky botrytis. Opens out to a pistachio nuttiness, a sheet metal brilliance, a note of mineral crispness. The palate produces lusty oil and sappy content with lip smacking late moments. The finish is consistent with a wine of thrust, power, and punch, and whose savory element really sizzle away the sweetness. Now – 2030.
December 2014
Ten years on.
Yellow gold. Sun notes on the nose with a swarthy depth. On the palate this is jaunty and compact, with intense peach and mangosteen fruit that infuses it. It’s still rather set into its dry extract levels. Firm iron backbone underneath, with a long and lapidary finish. Will still improve. Now – 2030+.
