Twenty five years on.
Yellow-gold. There is waxy evolution on the nose, with grip and cut on the bouquet. It’s layered in oatmeal, baking spice, and a rich, creamy shellfish stock whipped to a froth. The palate works well via its texture, with droplets of finesse. Its foundation of sappy tree fruit extends on lanolin, orange peel, and lemon zest to give it a greater youth and vigor. The sensuous backend is memorable for its rather glorious savory qualities. Last bottle on a case. Now.
