Twenty five years on.
Ruby. The nose is immediately expressive and complex, bursting with classic Vosne spice alongside black tea, black cherry, and red fruits, layered with earth, forest floor, dried flowers, citrus peel. With air, clay-tinged red fruit and strawberry notes emerge, deepening the aromatic profile and adding nuance.
On the palate, the wine is rich, sultry, and wide open, delivering a high density of juicy red and black fruit framed by abundant spice. The texture remains silky and mouth-coating, with a fine, balancing acidity that keeps the concentration in flawless proportion. There is real presence and depth here, energetic and youthful, yet already demonstrating very fine harmony.
The finish is long, intense, and spicy, marked by a subtle tangy edge and still-tasty tannins. Magnificent in its current form and immensely satisfying now, this has the structure and vitality to gain even more complexity in the years to come. Now – 2045+.
