Ruby. The aromatic profile is already expressive, offering layered red and dark fruits, cassis and ripe berries, interwoven with peonies, smoke, and a developing thread of exotic spice and a recognizable Vosne signature. There is both seduction and structure here.
On the palate, the wine shows medium body but with unexpected depth and richness. The texture is a clear highlight, supple, polished, and mouth-coating without heaviness. Concentration exceeds typical village expectations, though the wine remains somewhat brooding and not yet fully delineated. Complexity is evident in flashes rather than in a fully resolved arc.
While increasingly open and approachable aromatically, the wine still feels early in its evolution. The balance of ripe fruit, emerging spice, and structural components suggests further integration ahead. Decanting 1–2 hours is beneficial at present. Overall, this is a high-class village wine driven by ripe vintage character and notable extract, with the padding to reward additional cellaring over the next several years. From 70 to 90 year old vines from lieu-dit Aux Réas and La Rivière. Now – 2035+.
