Pale yellow color. Crisp, fresh, understated nose: white pain grillé, flint, mineral. Linear on the plate: citrus, pear. Nice zip. Narrow, squeaky clean finish. All consistent with villages level at this age. A little too anodyne but overall we were pleasantly surprised. Clearly we have paid too much attention to the negative press around Labouré-Roi recently; this wine was correct. Drink over the next couple years. Now – 2015.
