Immature ruby red color. Plump nose. Some barrel notes. Firm, fresh and balanced on the palate, a good tension informed by ripe tannin and kitten teeth ’05 acidity: red raspberry, bing cherry. Some density through the mid-palate and a touch of spice. Nicely done. Modern styled, new wave Bourgogne. Barb says, “regardless of level, if you made a poor red burg in ’05 you should find another line of work.” Indeed. Now – 2015+.
