Pellucid canary yellow. A nose of silk, white flowers and fragrance. Discreet honeysuckle wrapped in a fine canopy of mint and basil verdancy. A celestial ripeness and purity, with a mineral core that refracts through the fruit like sunlight off steel: white peach, asian pear, quince. For a wine so gossamer in demeanor this has amplitude, scale and richness. Pixelated, hazelnut and limestone finish. The opposite of facile; a classic Combettes. This is arriving at its apogee; à point. Now – 2018.
