100% Chardonnay from grand cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs.

Gold with a copper-tinged patina.  Well into maturity now yet with grande dame comportment: butterscotch, spent sencha, shiro-soyu, poached pear and mirabelle.  Underneath, this is exquisitely detailed, with a timeless balance we most often associate with the ’85s.  Crepuscular finish.  Nearing its end but there is something pure and memorable here all the same: like the repetition ad infinitum of ocean tides at night.   Said respectfully .. best to finish these up.
