70% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay from estate vineyards in Bouzy, blending 22 individually vinified plots. 48 months sur lie. 30% reserve wine. Base year 2019. Dosage 1.0 g/l. Disgorged March 2023.
As much copper-pink as it is yellow-gold. The bouquet reveals high frais de bois fruit with ripeness as its theme, brioche, vine flowers, a touch of silk. On the palate this offers good access to the heart of the fruit, with mineral and chalk qualities well inset. Toasted pumpkin seed and orange zest offer counterpoint and piquancy. A well-textured wine with good Bouzy character. I find the Parcelles is best drunk on or shortly after release. Now.
