Ruby. The freshness is live and the bouquet brings blue fruits, peony, spice. The palate has good sap and the texture is like taffeta. Gives a mineral infused stretch of dark fruit, bilberry-cassis, is elegant before its lithe, alabaster tannins climb aboard. It’s in fine shape, has local character, can further expand and settle. Now – 2035+.
Technically comes from a single plot in L’Ormeau, which is allowed to be labelled as Les Mitans. The vines were planted in two stages but are on average around 50 years old.
