Ruby. A complex, highly expressive wine showing a signature profile of cool yet ripe fruit and exotic spice. Aromatics open with chinese 5-spice, ginger, orange zest and mint, layered over raspberry preserves, morello cherries, and cooler blueberry tones. The palate is generous and fleshy, with a sweet core of red and blue fruit framed by unapologetic but well-integrated oak and baking spice. Despite its ripeness, the wine retains superb balance and tension, with Cathiard’s hallmark sense of weight, polish and resolution. Youthful and firm, yet already immensely pleasurable, promising a long and graceful evolution. Now – 2040+.
