Translucent ruby. Cherubic yet suave and fresh like an altoid: mentholated cherry, cool violet, savory underbrush. Succulent black and red fruit, the flatter mid-slope of Les Cent Vignes offering more pronounced density and weight through the middle. Good grip. Just a hint of astringency to the tannins – overall, these are ripe and of good quality. Sweet celeriac and a touch of spicy minerality at the end. Will come forward soon. From 2014.
