60% Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims; 40% Chardonnay from the Côte de Blancs. Minimum five+ years on the lees.
Antique bronze patina. Fully mature yet still clearly rendered, this is flavorsome and spiced, a fondue of wet timothy hay, clover honey, hazelnut, pomelo blossom, poached pear, apple tarte tartin and malted grain. Underneath, not a hair out of place, poised, punctilious and classy. Elegant, satisfying finish. A fine wine with true generosity and character. For drinking soon.
